With the year-end excitement rushing in, the digital platforms have tightened their belts to rise higher in the new year. They are leaving no stone unturned in surprising consumers with newer updates and features.
Joining the bandwagon is Instagram. The app claims to introduce several new updates that will improve the ways user content can appear outside of Instagram. The company stated in its official blog that consumer feedback was taken into consideration to make it easier for them to grow their follower base. The update also gives them access to get discovered by better previewing their content in more places.
As per the update, Image previews will now appear in Tweets when sharing Instagram posts from public accounts to Twitter. Earlier, the link just appeared in a clickable format which led users to the Instagram app without any visual representation. This will also highlight the content and show people what they’ll see when they click on the link.
Instagram states that the platform’s goal is to create a better experience for people who want to see a preview of Instagram content while scrolling on Twitter.
There are certain precepts that need to be followed in order to access the Image Preview update:
All types of Feed posts, like Photos, Videos, Carousels, and Reels, will preview when shared on Twitter. Stories won’t show up as previews on Twitter for now.
