Suggested word effects, new soundmojis, holiday AR effects, and more features come with the newly introduced Holiday-themed package by Messenger.
Instagram partnered with beauty guru Ashley Strong to create an AR effect that’ll help users glow up for the celebrations on Messenger and Instagram video calls.
Ashley’s AR Effect encapsulates sparkles and shiny snowflakes that appear from the eyes when one blinks. With this effect, users can magically freeze the screen. They will have to just open their mouth for a cold breath to start to appear and freeze the screen.
The holiday AR effects features can be explored by tapping the smiley face icon to see them in the ‘Effects’ tab. The user needs to start a video call or open the Messenger camera to take a selfie. They are available on both, the Messenger app and Instagram.
In order to introduce some surprising elements and make the user chatting experience merry, Messenger has added New Year’s Eve chat theme. They are live on Messenger and Instagram DMs, which also come with their own word effects.
Secondly, the company has created suggested word effects in Messenger for wishing people a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa. There are special emojis that go along with the greetings. Users can add them to the chats when prompted to let everyone they message to share in the joy.
The third and one of the most pivotal addition is soundmojis. According to Messenger, they bring a new auditory dimension to the conversations. As a result, the platform has added two new seasonal ones to spruce up the user chat section.
To avail of the soundmojis, users need to visit the Messenger expressions tray. Proceed to select the loudspeaker icon, and find them for a special holiday song surprises.
Other add-ons include cash gifts and virtual holiday games on Messenger Kids.
