Killer Soup

The Abhishek Chaubey-directed Netflix series highlights Manoj Bajpayee’s double act and Konkona’s menacing performance. A news article served as the loose inspiration for the series, which follows the fictitious town of Mainjur and its amateur heroes, villains, and everyone in between through a series of fast-paced events.  Killer Soup is an offbeat crime series touted as a delicious mix of mystery and black comedy. 

The trailer of the sinister thriller begins with Umesh (Manoj Bajpayee) and Swathi (Konkana Sen Sharma) where she is holding a bottle of acid, and they’re discussing a sinister plan for the murder of her husband, also played by Manoj Bajpayee. Swathi is an aspiring chef who only wants everyone to taste her paya soup. Due to a chain reaction of unfortunate events and hurried denials of responsibility, she and her lover find themselves in a sticky situation.

Netflix’s new docuseries You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment is based on a Stanford experiment. It features a set of identical twins who participate in a unique scientific experiment where they have to change their lifestyles and diets for eight weeks to explore how certain foods impact the body.

Society Of The Snow

Thriller genre lovers are in for a treat as Netflix brought out an engaging survival thriller this month titled Society of the Snow. The JA Bayona directorial tells the story of a Uruguayan flight that crashed in the Andes in 1972. Will they be able to survive the extreme cold? You will have to binge it to find out.

The Brother’s Sun

A dark comedy you shouldn’t miss. Netflix’s The Brothers Sun centres around a Taipei triad member who decides to travel to Los Angeles to protect his mother and his estranged brother from a mysterious threat. Created by Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu, the upcoming series features Justin Chien, Sam Li, and Michelle Yeoh in pivotal roles.

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2

 In Seoul’s grim era under colonial rule, an entrepreneur and a sleuth fight for survival and face a monster born out of human greed. The second part of Gyeongseong Creature picks up from where the first season ended. The K-drama will continue to follow the group of young men who are willing to go to any extent to take down a monster born out of human greed.

Lift

Directed by F. Gary Gray, Lift is an action comedy flick that centres around a master thief who reunites with his ex-girlfriend to help the FBI pull off an impossible heist on a passenger plane travelling from London to Zurich. The engaging thriller features Kevin HartGugu Mbatha-RawÚrsula Corberó, and more.

Sixty Minutes

Sixty Minutes is a German action thriller that follows a mixed martial arts fighter who finds himself in a complicated situation when he abandons a match to attend his daughter’s birthday party. The events that ensue next are sure to keep you glued to the screen.

Captivating The King

Jo Jung-suk, Shin Se-kyung, and Lee Shin-young come together for Netflix’s new K-drama, Captivating the King. The series explores the cruel love story of King Lee In, who faces challenges on the royal and political front, and Kang Hee Soo, who tries to seduce the former for revenge but ends up developing feelings for him.
