If you are romantic plus a lover of Bollywood, here is something you can watch and enjoy. A new four-part docuseries titled “The Romantics” on Netflix has honored famous director Yash Chopra and Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) rich cultural legacy of 50 years. The Netflix documentary, a tribute to the legend, was made available on February 14.
Yash Chopra is frequently referred to as the “Father of Romance,” and many Indians like and romanticize his classic romantic comedies and dramas like Silsila, Lamhe, Kabhi Kabhie, Veer-Zaara, Dil To Pagal Hai, Chandni, and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The documentary series, which delves into the history of Bollywood through the perspective of YRF and demonstrates its influence in making Bollywood and its leading actors a household name globally, will include 35 leading voices from the Hindi film industry, including mega-stars who have closely collaborated with YRF over the years.
Smriti Mundhra, who has been nominated for an Oscar and an Emmy and who has previously directed the critically acclaimed Netflix series Indian Matchmaking and Never Have I Ever, is the director of The Romantics.
