Netflix is set to launch its merchandise with the famous Lacoste, a significant brand collection. There is something powerful about a well-known fashion brand and a cherished entertainment organization working together to connect followers in a fresh new way because fashion and entertainment can spark culture and create fandom.
“Today, we are excited to announce that Netflix and Lacoste are creatively coming together to release a new collection celebrating some of the extraordinary universes of our most beloved shows including Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Lupin, Money Heist, The Witcher, Sex Education, Shadow and Bone and Elite.”, wrote Netflix Blog.
Starting on April 12, the iconic Lacoste gear, including polo shirts, sweatshirts, tracksuits, and more, will be transformed into characters from the Netflix shows Upside Down and Las Encinas High School.
Establishing cultural connections. Netflix has given another company full access to the show codes for some of its most well-known productions. The eight shows are Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Lupin, Money Heist, The Witcher, Sex Education, Shadow and Bone, and Elite. They were chosen for the principles they promote and the variety of their audiences. This compilation will excite readers who enjoy fiction, romance, teen shows, and adventures.

“We think products can be a powerful medium for storytelling and partnering with Lacoste presents a unique opportunity to blend the worlds of fashion and entertainment,” said Josh Simon, VP, of Consumer Products, at Netflix. “This collection is a compelling and creative way for fans to express their love for our stories and characters.”
The collection is simple and classic as Lacoste, and it has a little tweak to the Lacoste crocodile logo according to the show.
“We are delighted with this collaboration which has resulted in a unique encounter between our two worlds and two global references of creativity and innovation, both with an unparalleled power to bring together communities from all walks of life. The collection born from our collaboration is the embodiment of this powerful encounter, of our respective codes, influences and know-how” says Catherine Spindler, Lacoste Deputy CEO.
An Assortment of Icons
This new wardrobe, which straddles the line between sportswear and fashion, includes polo shirts, hats, sweatshirts, and tracksuits. The crocodile has dressed up as the Netflix characters for the event and is embroidered or flocked on every item in the collection. His appearance transforms into that of the menacing Demogorgon in Stranger Things. It has a huge wig as an homage to Queen Charlotte from Bridgerton in Shondaland. Other items include an all-over toile de Jouy-style pattern, with the crocodiles in disguise moving between the streaming platform’s recognisable images. Fans have the chance to incorporate their passion of their favourite shows and apparel company into their unique style with this must-have collection.
Small-screen to real-world transition
Videos featuring the crocodile in a realm that combines the Lacoste universe with the codes of the many Netflix episodes have been made as part of the collaboration. These fictional characters go beyond the ‘Netflix and chill’ uniform while wearing Lacoste x Netflix clothing, which will be on display at Lacoste locations all over the world.
