According to Pinterest Newsroom, with the inclusion of new music options for their Pin creations, including songs from some of the top recording artists and stars in the world, Pinterest is aiming to assist creators in creating more engaging idea pins.

As explained by Pinterest:

“We’ve established new partnerships with Warner Music Group, Warner Chappell Music, Merlin, and BMG, to bring today’s top artists and music on the platform. Through these new deals, users will now be able to add tracks from Ed Sheeran, Silk Sonic, Anitta, and many more to their Idea Pins.

Being able to add known and trending songs to Idea Pins will enable creators to engage more deeply and creatively with their audience, unlocking new ways for them to inspire through their content with music expression.”

As you can see in the picture given below, you may now select from various well-known tunes to add as an accompaniment to your content when making your Idea Pin.

With many musicians now creating promotion tactics in line with upcoming trends in order to increase reach and engagement, music has emerged as a significant element of the move to short-form videos.

To help more creators promote popular songs and profit from utilizing them in their clips, Meta, YouTube, and TikTok have all announced exclusive music deals in response to this.

Being the closest choice to short-form video material, Pinterest makes sense to follow this trend since Idea Pins encourage more innovation and creativity within the platform.
