On her 30th birthday on the 27th of June, 2023, Prajakta uploaded a weekly #RealTalkTuesday video on her YouTube channel, making this exciting announcement. The video is titled ‘I Am Writing A Romance Novel’ and let us tell you, we couldn’t stop jumping in excitement for seven minutes straight. The Dum Dum Army will understand our feelings. She has not only has amassed a massive following online with her relatable content, but has explored a wide range of creative endeavors — starring in Netflix’s Mismatched, acing the big screen with Jugjugg Jeeyo, releasing her own short film, Khayali Pulao, releasing her own song, Shameless. Why Specifically A Novel?

In her announcement video, Prajakta shared that the inspiration to write her own novel struck her earlier this year, in 2023. Amidst the lockdown, her creative mind brimmed with diverse concepts, perfectly adaptable for web series, episodic content, and cinematic endeavors. Among these ideas, one held a deeply personal significance. In April 2023, she embarked on the writing process, initially envisioning it as a concept note for a potential series pitch to OTT platforms. However, it swiftly evolved into 25 pages of a book, marking the special beginning of the destined novel it was meant to be.

What’s The Title Of The Novel?

Drum roll, please. It is called: Too Good To Be True! 🥳

In her latest YouTube video, Prajakta also revealed the genre of her upcoming novel. ‘Too Good To Be True’ is a fictional romance novel. This choice perfectly aligns with her love for romance novels that we have witnessed this year. Now, speaking of her upcoming book, titled ‘Too Good To Be True,’ – all we know is that it is the love story of Aman and Avni.
