Meta rolls out a new updated version of WhatsApp for Windows

In order to increase the ability to use WhatsApp for video meetings, Meta’s recently released a new version of the messaging app for Windows PCs that features an enhanced user experience for group chats.

As explained by Meta: “You can now host group video calls with up to eight people and audio calls with up to 32 people. Instagram broadens search with Sponsored results and Reminder Ads

Reminder Ads, which let users choose to receive alerts before events, and advertisements in search results, which can help Instagram better engage with users who are in a discovery mentality, are two new ad choices that the social media platform is offering.

Ads in Search Results target those who are actively looking for services, goods, and content, we are also starting to test advertisements in search results. When a person taps into a post from a search result, advertisements will appear in the feed that they can peruse.

WhatsApp updates group chat settings and group membership information

WhatsApp is introducing some new controls for group chats that will give it more flexibility in managing who can and cannot join a group. Also, WhatsApp is introducing additional insights into groups that other users share with them in order to provide users with more context for connection and discovery.

To provide users additional context about other members, WhatsApp is also introducing a new “groups in common” display. As per WhatsApp: “Whether you’re trying to remember the name of a group you know you share with someone or you want to see the groups you’re both in, you can now easily search a contact’s name to see your groups in common.”

LinkedIn expands Business page native post scheduling

LinkedIn is introducing a native option for scheduling posts, and business pages may now follow other pages within the app. Below is a summary of the most recent LinkedIn app features. The modifications are a part of the platform’s most recent feature upgrade.

As per LinkedIn: “As a marketer, we know it takes time and resources to strategize, create, and publish content in order to reach your audience. To help you manage and share content at the right time, you can now select the specific date and time for your Page posts to go live, all within the platform.”

Microsoft has added DALL∙E visual creation tools

Microsoft continues to capitalize on the generative AI trend by unveiling today a new “Bing Image Creator” tool that will integrate OpenAI’s DALLE visual creation capability into Microsoft’s Bing search engine and Edge browser, giving users anytime access to AI image generation.

As per Microsoft: “Powered by an advanced version of the DALL∙E model from our partners at OpenAI, Bing Image Creator allows you to create an image simply by using your own words to describe the picture you want to see. Now you can generate both written and visual content in one place, from within the chat.”
