Unless you are in a different world, you might know about the upside-down world that has got people excited. Netflix’s flagship science fiction horror drama, Stranger Things-Season 4, has returned with Volume two of its season four.
The second volume got people excited and more than that the Netflix India team made sure that people knew that season four was coming. They did extensive promotions and here’s a sneak peek of how they did it.
“On the 26th of May, a rift opened on the Gateway of Mumbai. But instead of screaming monsters, we heard screaming fans.”
To make the promotion topical and physical Netflix India team did Stranger Things promotions over Gateway of India in Mumbai where they got a special stranger things bus that was open for the fans to get in. It was a really creative way to promote the show as it got a live footfall audience to know about the show. They created visuals on the Gateway of India which was a sight to see.
In another way to promote, they got famous YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and comedian Rohan Joshi to review the trailer of Season 4 of the show. They talk about the new villain and show’s suspense theme and more.
YouTuber Dhruv Rathee ‘s video on Netflix India’s YouTube channel is a video where he is seen decoding the unsaid strange theories of the show. Dhruv Rathee is an Indian YouTuber who makes videos that cover a wide range of topics such as environment, personal finance, economics, society, history, and contemporary politics. He also does vlogging and has a great fan following for his content.
“Stranger Things fan Varun Dhawan walks us through his house and if things feel strange now, they’re only going to get stranger.”
The team went all out with their promotions and involved actor Varun Dhawan too in their promotions. Netflix India posted a video interview of Varun where he is questioned about his favorite show and he talks about the show.
Check out these videos and go complete watching the show. Do tell us in comments about more of their promotional advertising and what you absolutely loved about the show.
