The Rise of a Digital Star

Living in Indore, Veer Sharma set out on his digital journey as a social media influencer, primarily through the now-banned Chinese app, TikTok. With his knack for entertaining content, Sharma quickly amassed a staggering 7 million followers, soaking in the limelight of online fame. However, his world was turned upside down when the Indian government implemented a ban on TikTok in June 2020, leaving Sharma grappling with the loss of his cherished stardom overnight.

Navigating Through Turbulent Times

Undeterred by the setback, Sharma, alongside his partner Parul Ahirwar, ventured into the Indian alternative to TikTok, the Moj App. Leveraging their existing fan base and creative skills, the duo swiftly rose to prominence once again, winning 8 million followers each within a span of two years. Their journey from obscurity to resurgence shows the resilience one needs to survive the social media storms.

A Leap into Politics

While Sharma’s ascent in the digital realm seemed like a success story in itself, his entry into politics added a new dimension to his narrative. In June 2023, Veer Sharma shared pictures of himself along with the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, marking the beginning of his political journery.

In a strategic collaboration with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sharma has utilised and continues to utilise his influence to promote government schemes and endorse political candidates for the political party.

Shaping Political Landscapes

Armed with his digital arsenal in terms of popularity, Veer Sharma played a primary role in the BJP’s social media outreach, particularly targeting the youth. By creating engaging videos and reels, Sharma and Ahirwar became instrumental in amplifying the party’s message and garnering support for its candidates. Their efforts culminated in significant victories, with Veer’s endorsement credited for the record victory margin of BJP MLA Ramesh Mandola in the 2023 assembly polls.

The Power of Influence

Beyond mere fame and fortune, Veer Sharma’s association with politics bestowed upon him a newfound sense of power and respect within society. From being a TikTok sensation to rubbing shoulders with political dignitaries, Sharma’s journey underscores the transformative potential of social media creators.

Looking Ahead

As India gears up for parliamentary elections, Sharma finds himself at a crossroads, torn between his political aspirations and burgeoning opportunities in the entertainment industry. With offers pouring in from OTT platforms, advertising agencies, and even the south Indian movie industry, Sharma stands at the precipice of a new chapter in his illustrious career. However, his commitment to the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains unwavering, signaling a continued alliance with the political sphere.
