The brand new YouTube Theater officially opened at Hollywood Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony using a giant pair of gold scissors on August 9, 2021. The 6,000 seat performance venue will be hosting “a variety of live entertainment events including concerts, theater performances, award shows, esports competitions, community gatherings, conferences, and more”, stated YouTube Official Blog.
According to SoFi Stadium, “Marking the start of its inaugural year, the ceremony included Hollywood Park Developer and Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke, YouTube Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl, and Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr.YouTube creator Mai Pham served as the master of ceremonies.”
“Live Nation Concerts’ Chief Strategy and Development Officer Jordan Zachary as well as President of Los Angeles for Live Nation Concerts, Rich Best, were also in attendance to celebrate the opening of the city’s brand new music and entertainment venue”, further stated SoFi Stadium.
In the first event held on September 3, 2021, fellow comedians Luenell, Deon Cole, Ryan Davis, Tony Roberts, Corey Holcomb, and Earthquake performed at the YouTube Theater as a part of the Black Comedy Festival.
Caifanes performed on the first night of music in YouTube Theater, which was held on September 4, 2021. My, my! It was a total sold-out show, and mind you, it happened for the first time since the opening!
As stated in SoFi Stadium, Hollywood Park Developer E.
