YouTube fans assemble! The hype was real, as YouTube FanFest 2024 (YTFF) finally delivered a good time yesterday, August 1, at Jio World Conventional Centre, Mumbai! The place was buzzing as fans packed in to see their favourite YouTubers LIVE in action. I mean, with a lineup like that, who wouldn’t want to be there? For the fans, YouTube FanFest isn’t just an event—it’s a full-on experience. It’s a chance to stand next to the creators they’ve been binge-watching and admiring for years, making it feel like a dream come true.
The Social Nation team was at YTFF 2024, and let me tell you, it was an epic rollercoaster of fun, music, dance, magic, and non-stop entertainment! It delivered all that and so much more. We were blown away by incredible performances from King, the soulful Jonita Gandhi, the dynamic duo Seedhe Maut, the electrifying W.I.S.H, and Prajakta Koli a.k.a MostlySane, among others who slayed the stage. Hosting this epic bash were comedy geniuses, Aakash Gupta & Gurleen Pannu, alongside the witty Thugesh and magical-creator Suhani Shah, who kept the vibes high and the audience laughing and gasping in awe.
On YouTube FanFest’s 10th anniversary, the streaming giant released a culture & trends report in association with research firm SmithGeiger, entitled “The Power of Fandom.”
Director of YouTube India, Ishan Chatterjee noted that its report found four distinct units of fans, “Today, fandom isn’t just a one-size-fits-all label. It’s a spectrum of engagement: casual fans like & comment. Big fans react and join the trends, while super fans create fan art and remixes. These fan approaches create multiple entry points, making it easier than ever for other audiences.”
Chaterjee also recalled that a decade ago, creators like Lilly Singh & AIB were greeted with madness at India’s first-ever YTFF, where fandoms were no longer narrowed to cricket & cinema. “Today, fans are not just passive consumers, they are active participants who shape the conversation, forge communities, and blur the lines between fan & creator.”
The YTFF 2024 had one of the most exciting lineups this year. The event began with an electrifying vibe as Kayan warmed up the stage for the night with her amazing DJing skills.
Jonita Gandhi wowed the crowd with a surprise performance alongside viral sensation Akshath Acharya, the voice behind the hit song “Nadiyaan,” leaving fans thrilled and craving for more musical magic!
The Vixens lit up the stage, bringing fire with their killer moves and vibes that had everyone totally shaken! Payal Gaming, Kaashvi, Mortal, and Mythpat, the leading figures in Indian gaming, lit up the YTFF stage with their fun shenanigans.
Seedhe Maut’s debut at YTFF 2024 was epic, bringing fire with their rhymes and energy, leaving the crowd awestruck! #TBSM
In an epic dance battle, Awez Darbar & Nagma Mirajkar go head-to-head in a video game format, all to the electrifying final song “Illuminati.”
Fukra Insaan and his mom, Dimple Malhan, lit up YTFF 2024 with their fun energy & engaging presence!
‘Clean Comedian‘ Ashish Solanki is a master at work, blending creativity & humour to entertain his audiences. Versatile singers Sunidhi Chauhan & W.I.S.H‘s performance ne ‘Crazy Kiya Re!’ They turned it into a night to remember. This was a combo we didn’t know we needed!
Tanmay Bhat and Siddharth Gupta dropped a fire roast song, roasting YouTubers and creators and serving major laughs! 🔥😂
King rocked the YTFF 2024 stage, teaming up with the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift for an unforgettable collaboration!
Our favourite Prajakta Koli (MostlySane) wrapped the night with a surprise dhol performance, delivering an epic finale that no one saw coming.
The night concluded with all the creators gathering under one roof, creating incredible energy and relishing the OG YTFF craze.
