The journey of Colin and Samir actually starts with Samir. He started by posting sports videos on YouTube 10 years ago, called it The Lacrosse Network (TLN). At that time Colin was making videos about The Lacrosse Network. Samir saw a few of them and convinced Colin to move to LA and work together. For the next two years, they built TLN – covered live sports events, got bigger gigs, and grew their subscriber count.

They loved making videos and wanted to figure out a way to make a living out of this. That’s when Whistle Sports, a New York-based company reached out to them. They wanted to acquire TLN and hire Colin and Samir. The company and their audience, both grew by leaps. The duo became famous, they even appeared on national TV. They traveled all over the country, helping brands and athletes tell their stories. Even though they had a stable job, they felt something was missing.

That’s when Colin and Samir took a leap of faith and started their own company and channel 6 years ago with the goal of becoming filmmakers. The duo started telling new stories and had incredible experiences. Filming Will Smith’s bungee jump from a helicopter on his 50th birthday was one of the many highlights of their journey. Through their channel and podcast, the Colin and Samir show, the YouTubers interviewed many big names from the creator industry. The duo met each other the same way they met all these amazing people – by watching each other’s videos.
