Who Conducts BGIS?

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) is India’s highest-level professional league for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) game. The league was created in 2021 and is produced by KRAFTON. KRAFTON INDIA Esports ensures fans not only play these games with friends and family but also participate in tournaments from open to all to pro levels showcasing their gaming skill sets.

Overview of the BGIS 2024

BGIS 2024 set a new benchmark for Indian esports with intense competition and unforgettable moments. It started on 4th April 2024 to 30th June 2024 with a total of 1024 teams that participated for a prize pool of ₹2,00,00,000. Held in Hitex Exhibition Center, Hyderabad, the tournament saw Team X Spark claim the coveted trophy, proving that perseverance pays off.

As the ultimate platform for India’s grassroots-level talent to compete with the nation’s best BGMI athletes, this tournament embodies the spirit of passion and perseverance. With an updated format and heightened competition, realme BGIS 2025 offers players a chance to showcase their skills on the grandest stage.

Registration for the events has already started. Powered by realme, this is more than just a tournament — it’s your opportunity to rise, shine, and ‘Make Your Mark.‘ The events start from 3rd January 2025 and go up to 20th April 2025.

What is the prize pool for BGIS 2025?

Numerous teams from India will contest for the humongous prize pool of ₹2,00,00,000. It will be divided as follows:

1st place: ₹60,00,000, 2nd place: ₹30,00,000, 3rd place: ₹20,00,000, 4th place: ₹15,00,000,
5th place: ₹12,50,000, 6th place: ₹9,00,000, 7th & 8th place: ₹7,50,000, 9th & 10th place: ₹5,00,000,
11th & 12th place: ₹4,00,000, 13th & 14th: ₹3,00,000, 15th & 16th: ₹2,50,000.

There are also special rewards such as Realme MVP: ₹3,00,000, Best IGL: ₹2,00,000, Emerging star: ₹1,00,000, Fan favorite team: ₹1,00,000, Best clutch: ₹1,00,000 and MVP (Finals): ₹1,50,000.

BGIS 2025 Format & Dates

Krafton India will organize the India Series 2025 in several different stages. Check out the format and dates for the tournament below:

In-Game Qualifiers – January 25 to February 2

All the registered teams will first play in the In-Game Qualifiers, which includes 15 matches. The best 10 games will be considered for the points table. The top 10-16 teams will be selected for Round 1 of the BGIS event.

The Grind – February 5 to 23

In total, 64 teams will directly be invited to the Grind. They will be divided equally into four groups and will play 24 matches each.

  • Week 1 – Group D will play matches with the top eight advancing to Round 2 of the BGIS and the bottom eight teams moving to Round 1.
  •  Week 2 – Group C will compete in games with the top eight progressing to Round 3 and the remaining eight qualifying for Round 2.
  • Week 3 – Group B will fight in 24 matches. The top eight teams will qualify for Round 4 and the bottom eight will make it to Round 3.
  • Week 4 – Group A will contest for eight spots in the Quarterfinals. While the remaining teams will play in Round 4.

Round 1 – February 16 to 23:

This stage will feature 1024 teams, with 1016 coming from the In-Game Qualifiers and 8 from Group D of the Grind. These teams will be split into 64 groups and will play six matches each. The top seven teams from each group will qualify for Round 2. Apart from them, an additional 48 teams will be selected from the overall standings for Round 2.

Round 2 – February 16 to 23:

A total of 512 teams will fight in this second round. They will be divided into 32 groups and will participate in six matches. The best seven from each group will be chosen for the next round. Additionally, 16 teams from the overall points table will be selected for the next stage.

Round 3 – March 6 to 9

This phase will consist of 256 teams, including 240 teams from Round 2 and 8 teams each from the Grind Groups B and C. These 256 teams will be seeded into 16 teams. The top six teams from each group will make it to Round 4. Additionally, 16 teams from the overall scoreboard will also be chosen for the next round.

Round 4 – March 13 to 16

The fourth round will feature 128 teams, including 112 from Round 3 and 8 each from Groups A and B. They will be divided evenly into eight groups and participate in six matches each. The top seven teams from each group will earn a spot in the Quarterfinals of the BGIS 2025. Apart from those teams, 16 squads from the overall standings will be given a spot in the Wildcard Stage.

Quarterfinals – March 20 to 23

A total of 64 teams, including 8 from Group A of the Grind, will fight in this stage. The top 16 squads from the overall rankings will claim a spot in the Semifinals Week 1 & the remaining teams (17th to 64th) will drop to the Wildcard.

Wildcard – March 24 to 27

This stage will boast 64 teams, including 48 from Quarterfinals & 16 from Round 4. These squads will be seeded into four groups and play six matches each. The top 16 from the overall points table will grab a spot in the BGIS Semifinals Week 1.

Semifinals Week 1 – March 29 to April 1

The first week of the Semifinals will feature 32 teams, including 16 each from the Quarterfinal & Wildcard. They will be divided into 4 groups and compete in 12 matches each in Round Robin structure. The best 8 squads from the scoreboard will qualify for the BGIS Grand Finals, while the remaining 24 will move to the second week of the Semifinals.

Semifinals Week 2 – April 3 to 6

24 teams from Week 1 will be divided into three groups for this second week. They will be seeded into three groups and fight across four days for 8 spots in the Finale.

Grand Finals – April 18 to 20

The top 8 squads each from Week 1 & 2 of the Semifinals will progress to the Finals. These teams will play 18 matches across three days in Kolkata for the BGIS 2025 title.
