Following the success of part 1 of his web series Taaza Khabar, the actor is set to return as Vasant Gawde in season 2. Talking about the excitement Bhuvan said, “This time, the audience will get a chance to see new complexities in the character and I am eager to see how they respond to it.”
Directed by Himank Gaur and produced by Rohit Raj & Bhuvan Bam, the show comes under the banner of BB Ki Vines (BBKV) Production. Along with versatile actor & content creator Bhuvan Bam, it features celebrities like Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shilpa Shukla, Prathamesh Parab, Mahesh Manjrekar, Deven Bhojani, and Nitya Mathur among others.

Bhuvan Bam has recently reached a cumulative 5 billion views on his YouTube channel. Despite not posting new content for nine months, he is pleased that viewers continued to engage with his videos. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he expressed, “It’s a wonderful feeling. Who could imagine achieving such a huge number? It took seven to eight years to get here, and now it feels that ‘haan, kuch to khaas kiya hai‘.”
The article mentioned how Abhishek Banerjee & Aahana S Kumra called out the rising influencer culture in Bollywood recently. Responding to their statement, Bhuvan said, “I totally understand where they are coming from because the so-called ‘influencer culture’ has taken over. Any producer or OTT platform develops a bias in favour of them. And people are getting cast based on their number of followers.“
“So, jo log bol rahe hain, wo ek hadd tak sahi bol rahe hain kyunki hamara format aur platform alag hai, way of approach towards content alag hai,” he added.
He mentioned how even today, people are introduced as ‘ye YouTube se hai’ and the bias is evident. To find acceptance in this industry is very tough. “The eventual goal for anyone is to find an OTT project or a movie. So, the fight is to find work because perception toh change nahi hoga,” he remarked.

The views are calculated as cumulative of the views across all his videos. In response to the news, Bhuvan Bam shared, “I am overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support from my viewers. Hitting 5 billion views is beyond my wildest dreams, and it’s a testament to the amazing community we’ve built together.”
“Thank you to each & every one of you for being a part of this incredible journey. Didn’t imagine when I started in 2016 that the journey would come this far. It’s been incredibly rewarding that almost a decade later, the growth has been unstoppable & for that, I’m eternally grateful. 5 billion is a number I cannot even begin to fathom, but I do know it truly is inspiring to see such statistics for the channel grow,” he said further.
Along with the 5 million views milestone, Bhuvan has also earned the prestigious Diamond Play Button, awarded for surpassing 10 million subscribers. He also became the voice of nostalgia with Takeshi’s Castle 2.0 on Amazon Prime Video. BB has been solidifying his status as a top creator and actor with every piece of work he produces.
