Jung Chae Yull, a well-known model and actress in South Korea was found dead in her home on April 11, 2023. She was a rising star in the Tv and Film industry and has been a part of it since 2016. She is best known for her role in the Netflix show Zombie Detective where she portrayed the character of Bae Yoon-mi.
Jung Chae Yull was only 26 years old when she died and the reason for her death is unclear. The news was first reported by an international publication based in South Korea called Koreaboo and this was immediately confirmed by a statement from Management S, which is Chae Yull’s agency.
The statement from Management S agency with regard to the death of Jung Chae Yull confirmed the distressing news and also mentioned how the funeral will be a private affair honouring the wishes of the mourning family. “ Today, we are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Actress Jung Chae Yull left our side on April 11, 2023. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly in private,” read the statement from the agency.
The agency has prayed for her soul to find a warm place because of her commitment to work and has also requested social media users and media houses to not spread any kinds of rumours with respect to Yull’s death as the reason for her death is unclear. The agency added, “ Please wish for Jung Chae Yull, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumours.”
Jung Chae Yull was born on September 4, 1996, and has been in the glamour industry for less than a decade now. Even in such a short period of time, Chase Yull has left a lasting impression. She has appeared on the cover page of L’Officiel Hommes, a French Luxury Fashion and Lifestyle magazine and on the cover page of Grazia in collaboration with the internationally recognised lingerie chain, Calvin Klein. The Instagram post for the Calvin Klein shoot was flooded with compliments appreciating her.
Jung first appeared on Devil’s Runway in 2016 which was a Korean modelling show and she made a lasting impression with her debut performance. Soon after the show, she was cast in a film in 2018 called Deep. However, Zombie Detective got Jung recognition not only in South Korea but also in many other parts of the world. The 12-episode series was first aired on Netflix in September 2020.

She has also been working on another K-drama titled Wedding Impossible which is in its production stage. A representative from the production team has extended his condolences on behalf of the entire team and has also informed the future of the film stating, “Future filming schedule is under internal discussion.”
Alongside fashion and acting, she has also been associated with a beauty brand called Laneige Korea and she took to social media to post snippets of her collaboration and behind-the-scenes.
Not just for brand endorsements, but in general Jung Chae Yull has been active on her Instagram. She posts pictures from her day-to-day life, her vacations, and her modelling shoots. She did not shy away from showing her goofy side to her 29K followers. In fact, her latest post is only 4 days old in which she is seen in deep thought while enjoying a drink and listening to music. Social media users and fans have been commenting on the post showing their disbelief and extending their last respect to her.
